To diversify its business into industries such as steel, petrochemicals, cement and power, RAKIA has been promoting and setting up world-class state-of-the-art power and manufacturing plants to meet its immediate power needs and industrial needs. The power projects will primarily address major shortage of power in the emirate for which RAKIA has been setting up its own power generating units to fuel industrial growth and becoming independent in sovereign power generation.
In line with some major community projects which are slated to come up in the emirate, talks are on to go in for higher power generation in the near future.
